Blue Delphiniums & White Sunnies — Emma and Zac at The Lodge, Jamberoo

Some weddings are a day. Emma and Zac's was a whole world.

The Lodge Jamberoo does something most venues don't — it gives you the whole weekend. Guests arrived the day before, swam in the pool, mixed cocktails and settled in like they owned the place. By the time the wedding day actually came around, the atmosphere was already electric. These weren't guests arriving for a ceremony. They were a group of people who had already been celebrating together for a day, and it showed in every single frame.

Emma got ready at home surrounded by family, her mum doing up the last buttons on what has to be one of the most beautiful gowns I've photographed. The dress was soft and ethereal, layers of tulle with delicate long sleeves, completely dreamy against the light. The family dog was there too, because of course they were.

The ceremony setting stopped me in my tracks. A white open-frame pavilion tucked beneath towering pines, with blue delphiniums, white hydrangeas and blush roses lining the entire aisle from start to finish. Blues and whites and soft pinks spilling across the ground at the altar. Emma walking out into all of that light, looking back over her shoulder with the biggest smile. It was one of those setups you just want to stand in and stare at.

The reception moved inside to The Lodge, all white brick walls, crystal chandeliers and fairy lights strung across the rafters. The well wishes table with its cascading blue and white florals and candles everywhere set the tone for what was coming. And what was coming was an absolute party. White sunnies appeared from somewhere around the bouquet toss and the whole room just lost it entirely. That dancefloor shot says everything about who Emma and Zac are and the people they've chosen to have around them.

Emma said it simply and perfectly: "Your wedding day should be a stress-free time and Adam certainly ensured exactly that. Easily one of the best decisions we made."

Emma and Zac, thank you for having me along for the whole weekend. Days like this are why I do what I do.
